1. What you can ask for
- A copy of everything we hold about you, including a machine-readable copy you can take elsewhere.
- A correction of anything wrong, incomplete or out of date.
- Deletion of your information.
- Withdrawal of a consent, such as permission to publish an interview, photograph or recording.
- Unsubscribing from the Circular Journey Brief, which takes effect as soon as you send the form.
- An objection to a use of your information, or a restriction on it.
- A complaint about how your information was handled.
You can ask for any of these wherever you are. The Privacy Policy explains the specific rights that the law of your country gives you.
2. What happens next
Your request is read by the co-founders, Vivek Kumar and Prashant Gautam, who reply within one month. If a request is unusually complicated, we tell you within that month why it needs longer. A complaint is always answered within the ninety days India’s rules allow, and usually much sooner.
If you ask for deletion, we delete what we hold unless a law requires us to keep a particular record for a set time; if so, we tell you what, why and until when. Withdrawing permission to publish means we stop using the material for that purpose and remove it from everything we control. We cannot recall copies that other people have already made, but we will tell you where it was published.
3. How we confirm it is you
We reply to the email address your request is about, and act once you confirm from it. That is enough for almost every request. We do not ask for passports, national identity cards, Aadhaar, PAN or any other identity document. If we ever could not confirm who you are any other way, we would explain why before asking for anything, ask for the least possible, and delete it as soon as your request was answered.
4. Other ways to reach us
You can also write to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the regulator where you live — in India, the Data Protection Board of India; in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your national data protection authority.
